Jahn moved to approve the minutes from the December 26th, Regular Meeting. Wolfe seconded the motion. Vote; Jahn-yes, Fannin-abstain, Wolfe-yes. Motion Carries.

FEE SCHEDULE- The 2024 fees remain the same as the Trustees had no changes to the fee schedule.
DEPARTMENT UPDATES; Fire- Chief Cline reported that there were 529 fire calls and 1495 EMS calls in 2024. Cline reported that the prison contract is paid up to date. Cline has completed the stats for the SAFER Grant application, they were sent to the grant writer, Cline has a meeting with them on Jan. 19th to explain any questions they might have. Assistant Chief Bennett is attending a radio programming class on Jan. 21-22nd , the class is being paid for by Pickaway Co. EMA.
Resolution 25-011; Fannin moved to accept the resignation of part-time firefighter Tommy Williams. Jahn seconded the motion. Vote; Fannin-yes, Jahn-yes, Wolfe-yes. Motion Carries.
Chief Cline thanked the road dept. and the Trustees for keeping the roads safe during the last snow storm.
Zoning- Zoning Inspector Schulz reported that he is still working with the property owners on Coontz Rd. for their conditional use. Schulz told the board that there are no updates on the Grahm Rd. Ravines subdivision or the vacated alleys in the former village.
Schulz told the board that he has been in contact with a property owner located at 13695 St. Rt. 104 who wants to build more that one residence on the property, Schulz has been in contact with the Pickaway Co. Prosecutors office. Schulz has also been working with complaints about the property located at 8656 Rush Rd. The property owner told Schulz that he is not operating a business on the property, but if he decides to he will follow the correct procedure.
Roads- Road Supervisor Murphy reported that he and Hudson have been doing snow and ice removal, repairing and replacing damaged mailboxes, picking up litter, repairing signs damaged by the wind, cleaning up downed trees, and doing traffic control for Pennington’s Tree Service. In the shop they have been cleaning and maintaining equipment.
The Trustees discussed the replacement of mailboxes that were in poor shape before the snow from the snowplow hit them. This matter will be discussed further at the next meeting. Jahn had a map of the sewer lines in the former village, the Trustees discussed how to clean the storm drains.
Cemetery- There have been trespassers riding ATVs in the snow in the cemetery. Wolfe caught them doing it, he called the Commercial Point Police for them to deal with, there is no damage that can be seen. Murphy and Hudson have been leveling graves.
OLD BUSINESS- Wolfe contacted the Pickaway Co. Prosecutors office about a letter to the owners of the Orient Post Office asking them to buy the remainder of the park property or to remove the parking lot and propane that belong to them.
NEW BUSINESS- The Trustees and Fiscal Officer discussed the repairs and possible expansion of the Service Center offices, the shingles that are on the Service Center are original to the building, and office space is limited. Â Â
Fannin asked Chief Cline about a fuel island at the new fire station. Cline will get quotes for the Trustees.
Jahn spoke to Mayor Goldhardt about the connector streets of Strawser and Mahogony in Southern Point. Goldhardt told Jahn that he was ok with both of the contractors that Jahn had quotes from. Resolution 25-012; Wolfe moved to have Strawser connect Strawser and Mahogony Streets in Southern Point for $38,431.00. Jahn seconded the motion. Vote; Fannin-yes, Jahn-yes, Wolfe-yes. Motion Carries.
Jahn told the board that he would like to put together a road list for summer road repairs as soon as possible.
Resolution 25-013; Fannin moved to go into Executive Session for Employee Compensation and invite Chief Cline and Assistant Chief Bennett. Jahn seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote; Fannin-yes, Jahn-yes, Wolfe-yes. Motion Carries.
Jahn moved to go back into Regular Session. Wolfe seconded the motion. Vote; All Yes. Motion Carries.
Resolution 25-014; Jahn moved to increase Tom Murphy’s pay to $29.75/hr, Paul Hudson’s pay to $26.00/hr, Travis Schulz to $850.00 bi-weekly, Neil Cline increase of 5%, and Spencer Bennett increase of 5% effective Jan. 1st, 2025. Wolfe seconded the motion. Vote; Fannin-yes, Jahn-yes, Wolfe-yes. Motion Carries.
With no other business to come before the board Wolfe moved to adjourn. Fannin seconded the motion. Vote; All Yes. Meeting Adjourned. Â
