Regular Meeting of the Scioto Township Trustees on Thursday, July 10, 2025 @ 7:00 P.M. at the Scioto Township Service Center.
Trustees Present: Chair Fannin and Wolfe
Schulz led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Fannin moved to approve the minutes from the June 26th Regular Meeting. Wolfe seconded the motion. Vote: All Yes. Motion Carries.
Fannin moved to approve the minutes from the June 19th Special Meeting. Wolfe seconded the motion. Vote: All Yes. Motion Carries.

Open Session: Cory Wasmus asked the Trustees to be present at the County Commissioners Meeting when they discuss and vote on the annexation.
Pete Griggs was present and spoke on the Service Agreement on Gibson Road and the Improvement Plans on State Route 104.
DEPARTMENT UPDATES: Fire- Chief Cline told the board that firefighter Noah Stogner resigned due to a fulltime commitment at another department. Cline told the Trustees that the air leak on Engine 403 has been repaired. Cline informed the Trustees that they are using a local mechanic that is certified on emergency vehicles that is used by other local fire departments.
Cline said that the yearly fire inspections of all commercial buildings have been started. The power has been hooked up in the new annex building by South Central Power. Cline will be contacting RCS to install the tube heater in the annex.
Zoning- Zoning Inspector Schulz reported that he has been working on a tall grass nuisance at 13283 Matville Road and a nuisance at 4320 State Route 316 and the property owner is working on cleaning it up.
Schulz told the board that he attended the Pickaway County Planning Commission meeting July 8th. Schulz has had a complaint about 11079 Coontz Road that he referred to the Prosecutors Office.
Schulz reported 2 permits since the last meeting.
Roads- Road Supervisor Murphy reported that he and Hudson have been picking up litter. The second round of mowing has been finished. They have been spot mowing Johnson grass, berming, cleaning up storm damage, and trimming trees that cause sight obstructions for school busses.
In the shop they have been doing equipment repairs and maintenance.
OLD BUSINESS: There has been no update on the remainder of the park property.
The Trustees discussed the 2026 Budget. Resolution 25-088: Fannin moved to approve the 2026 Budget. Wolfe seconded the motion. Vote: Fannin-yes, Wolfe-yes Motion Carries
NEW BUSINESS: Resolution 25-089: Approve P.O. & Payment to Fire Grants Experts for $6500.00. Motion by Fannin. Second by Wolfe. Vote: Fannin-yes, Wolfe-yes. Motion Carries.
Resolution 25-090: Re-Allocation $10,000.00 from Training Services to other Professional and Technical Services in Fire. Motion by Fannin. Second by Wolfe. Vote: Fannin-yes, Wolfe-yes. Motion Carries.
With no other business to come before the board Wolfe moved to adjourn. Fannin seconded the motion. Vote: All Yes. Meeting Adjourned.
