Regular Meeting of the Scioto Township Trustees on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. at the Scioto Township Service Center.
Trustees Present: Vice Chair Jahn and Wolfe
Jahn led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The minutes from the July 10th Regular meeting could not be approved due to the lack of a quorum.
Reports made available: Fund Status, Payment Listing, and Receipt Listing.
Bills since the last meeting: $125,209.07
Receipts since the last meeting: $308,912.39.
Jahn moved to pay the bills. Wolfe seconded the motion. Vote: All Yes. Motion Carries.
OPEN SESSION: Jennifer Stachler presented the Trustees with the Petition forms for a zoning referendum on the recent zoning hearing at 11079 Coontz Road. Brill will deliver the petition forms to the Pickaway County Board of Elections on July 24th.
DEPARTMENT UPDATES: Fire – None
Zoning: Zoning Inspector Schulz has working on a nuisance complaint at 13283 Matville Road. He has contacted the property owner and was told the property is for sale. The property owner at 4320 St. Rt. 316 did remedy a nuisance complaint at their property. Schulz reported 2 permits since the last meeting.
Roads- Jahn received a price from the Pickaway County Engineer for a box culvert under Gibson Road South.
Resolution 25-091: Jahn moved to order the culvert under Gibson Road South for $30,625.00. Wolfe seconded the motion. Vote: Jahn-yes, Wolfe-yes. Motion Carries.
Jahn reported the road crew has finished spraying Johnson grass in Township ditches.
Cemetery- Wolfe reported 2 recent funerals.
OLD BUSINESS: Jahn will contact the Prosecutors office about the remainder of the park property.
The Graham Road edge project will need to be re-advertised.
NEW BUSINESS: None.
With no other business to come before the board Jahn move to adjourn. Wolfe seconded. Vote: All Yes. Meeting Adjourned
