The Scioto Township Fire Department is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Part-Time Firefighter & Paramedic/EMT. With our community experiencing rapid growth, we are in the process of constructing a new firehouse and are looking to expand our part-time staffing.

Under the direct supervision of a Captain/Lieutenant, individuals in these roles will be responsible for various duties including fire suppression, fire prevention, and emergency medical services. Qualifications for this position include:

  • Valid Ohio EMT-Paramedic or EMT-B Certification
  • Valid Ohio Firefighter II Certification
  • Ability to be insured by the Township’s insurance carrier
  • Successful completion of drug screening examinations
  • BCI Criminal history check
